On the academic side?

Who am I?

The best way to know that could be to have a look on my resume... or by contacting me (devillers@marinegis.com)

Interests in Geomatics

My Ph.D. thesis deals with the way geospatial data quality information can be communicated to users in a meaningful way.

My master thesis focused on the way multiple representations can be managed in geospatial databases (as a complement to cartographic generalisation).

Interests in Geology

My interests in Geology mainly focus on recent geology (quaternary) and specifically on palaeontology. My master degree thesis in geology aimed to assess the links between some environmental parameters (primary productivity and nutrient concentrations in oceans) and marine microfossils populations (dinoflagellates).

Social involvements

I also participated actively within a Canadian student network in geomatics (GEOIDE Students Network- GSN). This network include about 200 graduate students in diverse geomatics field, shared in about 24 universities in Canada.
GSN Web site: http://www.geoide.ulaval.ca/gsn.

I was involved in the graduate students association of the faculty (AECFGUL) as president in 2000-2001. This association regroups about 150 doing their master and Ph.D. thesis in forestry and geomatics.
